Congratulations to our Years 3-6 students for a fantastic week together on our Victorian Adventure! Our excursion to Phillip Island captured our theme Conservation of our Wildlife which is imperative to provide a future for our special and unique animals. The Koala Conservation Park, Nobbies Conservation Centre and the amazing, very cute Penguin Parade – incredible! The trip highlighted our thinking and problem solving skills and the Chocolate Factory tour did not disappoint! Churchill Island was a favourite for Illabo, a beautiful property.
While at Beechworth our Then and Now HSIE Unit was bought to life, demonstrating just how challenging Australian life was in the past and how we have developed into a much more tolerant, accepting and fairer society today. Tales of Ned Kelly's imprisonment and the Burke Museum were a few of the highlights.
On Wednesday 5 November, 2014, K-2 students, parents, grandparents and friends visited Altina Wildlife Park. We all had a fabulous time. Thank you for the wonderful community support throughout the day. The trip was made very special by your participation. Most importantly, our students gained so much from having you there.
