Small Schools Swimming Carnival

Each year, IPS competes in the Small Schools Swimming Carnival, going head-to-head with other schools from our area. Our students consistently perform exceptionally well, with many talented swimmers progressing through to state level competition.

Easter Hat Parade

Every year, our students (and staff!) get creative designing some truly amazing Easter hats for our parade. Families and community members are invited to join us for this fun and colourful celebration of Easter.

Small Schools Touch Knock Out Competition

IPS competes in the Small Schools Touch Knock Out Competition, where we take on other small schools from across the state in an exciting knockout series. The final championships are held in Sydney, and IPS has proudly taken out two state titles in previous years — a fantastic achievement for our students!

School Excursions

Each year, our students in Years 3–6 embark on a major excursion, spending three to four days exploring a new destination. In previous years, we’ve visited outdoor adventure centres, Sydney, and Ballarat. These excursions provide wonderful opportunities for students to learn, grow, and build independence outside the classroom. This year, we’re excited to be heading to Melbourne — stay tuned for updates!

Book Week

Each year, IPS takes part in Book Week — one of the most exciting events on our calendar! Every student puts a huge amount of effort into their costume, celebrating their favourite book characters with creativity and enthusiasm. We’re also fortunate to join the Junee Book Parade, where students proudly take part in the parade and awards ceremony.

Selwyn Snow Trip

This has certainly been a highlight for teachers, students and families. A beautiful day on the snowfields, learning new tips and tricks from our instructor Mr Crouch.
